Overview

Shepherd of the Valley is seeking a Full Time Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk for our fast paced centralized billing operations at our corporate office in Austintown, Ohio. Responsibilities include insurance verification, data entry, private billing, insurance claims, collection and follow-up for all payment sources

Responsibilities

The AR Clerk processes and posts charges to customer accounts.

  • Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.
  • Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers.
  • Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
  • Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.
  • Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary for collection and/or in order to update accounts. Assists with related special projects, as required.

Qualifications

One year certificate from college or technical school

  • Must be detail oriented having excellent organizational and computer skills.
  • A minimum of three years medical billing experience required.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software
